The 45-year-old actress, who tied the knot with the filmmaker in 2009, made several demands in her petition, including asking for sole legal and physical custody of their 11-year-old daughter.

AceShowbiz - David Lynch has separated from his wife Emily Stofle. It was unveiled that the "Twin Peaks" director has been slapped with divorce papers by his spouse after 14 years of marriage.

According to TMZ, Emily made several demands in her petition. She's asking for sole legal and physical custody of her and David's 11-year-old daughter. The 45-year-old, however, is reportedly with her ex having visitation rights.

In addition, Emily wants David to pay her spousal support and cover the cost of her attorneys' fees.

This marks David's fourth marriage. He was previously married to Peggy Lynch from 1967 to 1974, Mary Fisk from 1977 to 1987 and Mary Sweeney from 2006 to 2007.

David wed Emily in 2009. The actress herself appeared in the filmmaker's 2006 movie, "Inland Empire" as well as the 2017 "Twin Peaks" series.

David and Emily welcomed their daughter in 2012. Meanwhile, the filmmaking legend has three other kids, including 55-year-old Jennifer shared with first wife Peggy, 41-year-old son Austin shared with second wife Mary and 31-year-old son Riley shared with third wife Mary Sweeney.

Back in 2018, David admitted in an interview with The Guardian that he tended to prioritize his work. "You gotta be selfish. And it's a terrible thing. I never really wanted to get married, never really wanted to have children. One thing leads to another and there it is," he explained.

"I did what I had to do," the 77-year-old painter further elaborated. "There could have been more work done. There are always so many interruptions."?
