AceShowbiz - Crystal Renay and Safaree Samuels may not be actually dating despite recent reports suggesting otherwise. The ex-wife of Ne-Yo and the rapper are allegedly not together romantically although they have been spotted hanging out together recently.
Sources tell TheShadeRoom that there's no truth to the dating rumors linking Crystal to Safaree. The news first surfaced earlier this week after several photos seemingly suggested that they were linked up.
Popular IG blog Tasha K unearthed photos showing Crystal sporting a necklace seemingly gifted to her by her rumored boyfriend. Another photo saw the mother of three seated at a table near the Jamaican-American artist at an event, seemingly suggesting that they attended the dinner party together.
Fans, meanwhile, believe that their sighting together hinted at Crystal joining the cast of "Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta". "Looks like her entrance to L&HH has arrived," one person remarked. Another claimed, "Love & hip hop entry," as a third weighed in, "Mona Scott has entered the chat."
Backing fans' speculation, Media Take Out reports that producers of the VH1 show are currently working to get Crystal to sign on for the new season. One of the producers tells the site, "We're confident that she'll be on the new season."
While the news outlet couldn't confirm their relationship status, it believes that Crystal's "possible" relationship with Safaree could be the base of her storyline. She and her three children, whom she shares with her ex Ne-Yo, currently reside in Atlanta.
Crystal filed for divorce from Ne-Yo in August 2022 after six years of marriage amid allegations that he was unfaithful throughout their marriage. She accused him of fathering a child with his former side chick Sade Bagnerise during their marriage and in September, it was reported that he got her pregnant again. Their divorce was finalized on January 26.
The former spouses share three children Shaffer Jr., seven, Roman, five, and Isabella, 2. He is also a father to Madilyn, 13, and Mason, 12, from his relationship with ex-girlfriend Monyetta Shaw.
