AceShowbiz - In the wake of Cassie's rape and abuse lawsuit, one video that appeared to support the claims resurfacing online. The said video saw Yung Joc said that the rap mogul forced Cassie to shave her head.
Shared on Twitter on Thursday, November 16, the video was from Joc's interview with VladTV back in June 2022. During the sit-down, the "It's Goin' Down" rapper talked about how Cassie came up with her signature hairstyle. "You remember 'Scarface' when that white woman was coming down the escalator and he was in that man's house and he was like this [slowly looks down]?" he said at the time.
He continued, "I was watching Puff … Puff jumped up. Me and Cassie sitting next to each other, my wife right here, Cassie right here. The n—a jumped off the bar, came over there and said, 'Yo, yo Cassie. Tomorrow, I want you to shave the side of your head.' "
Joc claimed that he was baffled by Diddy's request. "And I was like, 'What the f**k kind of request is that?' " he said. "So, when I look up there, this white woman, the side of her head was shaved."
"So, I was looking at Cassie and I was like, 'You not 'bout to do that are you?' She said, 'Well, I mean, whatever Sean wants, I'm gonna do,' " the "Love & Hip Hop" alum shared.
Cassie, who debuted her shaved look in 2009, revealed that her dramatic hair transformation was because she "wanted to try something different." Speaking to Vibe Magazine in 2013, the "Me & U" singer shared, "I actually didn't have the intentions of shaving so much hair but, when I went there, I wanted to go all the way and kind of land in punk. The next day, I woke up and I was like, 'OMG, what did I do?!' "
"But slowly over the next few weeks got more comfortable in it. Your hair doesn't define you. Wear your hair how you feel," she added.
Following the lawsuit, Diddy is reportedly under criminal investigation by the New York City Police Department.
The hip-hop star is the subject of a secret investigation possibly involving sexual assault. Law enforcement claimed there is an open case at NYPD with the name "Sean Combs" but the file has been "locked," meaning it's a sensitive case where access is restricted.
Diddy vehemently denied Cassie's allegations. Calling it an attempt to seek "a payday," his attorney Ben Brafman said in a statement, "Mr. Combs vehemently denies these offensive and outrageous allegations."
The lawyer added, "Despite withdrawing her initial threat, Ms. Ventura has now resorted to filing a lawsuit riddled with baseless and outrageous lies." He went on claiming that the lawsuit aims "to tarnish Mr. Combs' reputation and seeking a pay day."
