AceShowbiz - Snoop Dogg has inspired other famous stars to get healthier. Shortly after announcing his decision to stop smoking, the actor portraying Big John Elliott in "Day Shift" was joined by Coi Leray and Meek Mill.
On Thursday, November 16, Coi surprised fans when she declared via Instagram Story that she will be following in Snoop's footsteps. She uploaded a screenshot of his announcement and gave her response by writing, "Ight ima start Monday. Let's do this!"
In a follow-up Story, the "Baby Don't Hurt Me" raptress offered details of when she will start. Over a black screen, she wrote, "Ima quit after Thanksgiving," adding gifs of a chicken and a sign that read, "No Smoking."
Giving a similar yet different take was Meek who made use of X, formerly known as Twitter, to reveal his decision to stop smoking. In a tweet published earlier that day, he penned, "Ima go to Dubai and completely stop smoking … ima follow snoop."
On the reason why, Meek explained, "My doctor said I got a lil bit emphysema in a chest." He continued, "If I dont stop smoking it cuts my lifeline in half." He further elaborated, "I was addicted to the nicotine and this new weed got too many chemicals and too risky to play with my mental!"
That same day, Snoop announced via Instagram that he is "giving up smoke." He uploaded a black-and-white photo of him with both of his hands in front of his mouth. Next to it, a message read, "After much consideration and conversation with my family, I've decided to give up smoke. Please respect my privacy at this time." Along with the snap, he stressed in the caption of the post, "I'm giving up smoke."
It did not take long for the post to be flooded with online responses from Instagram users. In the comments section, one in particular joked, "Sheeeesh easiest marketing for Snoop Dogg edibles ever," adding a laughing emoji. Another joined in, "I respect his decision so much, but this is the funniest thing I've ever seen. I'm gonna remember this forever."
