AceShowbiz - Meryl Streep has given mixed signals pertaining to her relationship status. Nearly a month after confirming er split from husband Don Gummer, "The Devil Wears Prada" actress was spotted wearing her wedding ring.
The 74-year-old was spotted wearing the band while she was on a night out with her son, Henry Wolfe. The mother-and-son duo attended music icon Joni Mitchell's 80th birthday party in Los Angeles, California.
Aside from Meryl, the were other Hollywood A-listers. They include Goldie Hawn, Cyndi Lauper, and Anjelica Hutson.
Meryl and the feted sculptor's split was confirmed by her spokesperson. In an exclusive statement shared with Page Six on Friday, October 20, the spokesperson said, "Don Gummer and Meryl Streep have been separated for more than 6 years, and while they will always care for each other, they have chosen lives apart."
The news came as a surprise as Meryl was spotted wearing her wedding ring when attending the Princesa de Asturias Awards 2023 that day. However, the Academy Awards winner and her then-husband, 76, were indeed last seen together at the 2018 Oscars.
Meryl and Don share four children together. They are singer-songwriter Henry Wolfe, 43, and actresses Mamie Gummer, 40, Grace Gummer, 37, and Louisa Jacobson, 32, whom they raised at their Connecticut compound in the quiet, historic town of Salisbury.
Meryl and Don tied the knot in 1978 after they were first introduced by her brother. Of the secret to their long-lasting marriage, the "Mamma Mia!" star said it was 'goodwill and willingness to bend - and to shut up every once in a while." She further elaborated, There's no road map on how to raise a family: It's always an enormous negotiation."
