AceShowbiz - Jordan Poole has finally broken his silence on wild speculation about him allegedly treating Ice Spice to a lavish date. The NBA star has called a "cap" on the rumors suggesting that he shelled out $500,000 on a date with the raptress.
The 24-year-old athlete set things straight once and for all during a meet-and-greet with fans earlier this week. In a video obtained by TMZ, the Washington Wizards player was signing jerseys for fans when a kid first asked him what it was like to play with Stephen Curry during his stint with the Golden State Warriors.
The boy followed up the normal question with an unexpected one, bluntly asking the shooting guard if there's any truth or not to the Ice Spice rumors. "Definitely not," Jordan quickly responded. "Definitely cap!" Jordan's teammate sitting nearby, meanwhile, let out a laugh at the query.
Cam'Ron made others believe that Jordan spent $500k on a date with Ice Spice when he criticized the athlete for being too flashy after a playoff performance for his previous team, Golden State Warriors. "Jordan Poole, you spent $500,000 on an Ice Spice date," the rapper said on his "It Is What It Is" podcast back in May. "You're a munch and you’re playing like a f**king munch."
Cam'Ron continued, "This is not you from last year, bro. Go back to Milwaukee and figure it the f**k out and get back in the playoffs, 'cause you look crazy right now. 'Cause I had your back last year. You got n***as out here saying, 'yeah what was all that Jordan Poole s**t you popping.' "
Ice Spice, meanwhile, has been coy about her personal life. In an interview with Los Angeles Times published in October, she revealed that she has a boyfriend, but wouldn't say who. "She's currently dating someone," the article claimed, before noting that she "declines to elaborate because she wants fans 'to keep their focus on what I'm here for, which is music.' "
