AceShowbiz - Vanessa Marcil was honoring her ex-fiance Tyler Christoper following his death. The "General Hospital" actress paid tributes to her former co-star by sharing throwback photos of the two on Instagram Story.
On Thursday, November 2, the 55-year-old posted a picture of her and Tyler cuddling up at an event as they smiled at the camera. Another snap, meanwhile, showed the former couple nuzzling together at the Soap Opera Update Awards in September 1997.
Vanessa and Tyler worked together on "General Hospital" in the late '90s, with her portraying Brenda Barrett while Tyler starred as Nikolas Cassadine. After the exes called off their engagement, the actor moved on with Eva Longoria.
Tyler and Eva were married from 2002 to 2004. Two years later, he announced his engagement to auto racing reporter Brienne Pedigo. They tied the knot in 2008. More than one decade later, in February 2019, she filed for divorce. The former couple shared son Greysun James as well as daughter Boheme together.
Tyler passed away on October 31. Confirming the sad news was his "General Hospital" co-star Maurice Benard, who wrote on Instagram, "It is with great sadness that we share the news of the passing of Tyler Christopher. Tyler passed away this morning following a cardiac event in his San Diego apartment."
Maurice went on to remember his late pal by writing, "Tyler was a truly talented individual that lit up the screen in every scene he performed and relished bringing joy to his loyal fans through his acting." The 60-year-old added, "Tyler was a sweet soul and wonderful friend to all of those who knew him."
"Tyler was an advocate for better mental health and substance use treatment who openly spoke about his struggles with bipolar depression and alcohol," Maurice continued. "We are beyond devastated by the loss of our dear friend and pray for his children and his father."
