Kim Zolciak and Ex Kroy Biermann Must Pay $230K to Bank After Failing to Respond Lawsuit

According to court documents obtained by Us Weekly, the 45-year-old and her estranged husband received a final default order on Friday, October 27, in their lawsuit with Simmons Banks.

AceShowbiz - Kim Zolciak and Kroy Biermann failed to respond to a lawsuit against them, and now they're facing its consequences. It was unveiled that "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" alum and her ex have been ordered to pay nearly $230,000 to a bank that's suing them.

According to court documents obtained by Us Weekly, the 45-year-old and her estranged husband received a final default order on Friday, October 27, in their lawsuit with Simmons Banks. The exes have been ordered to pay the bank a primary amount of $226,836.22 after failing to file an answer within 15 days.

In addition to that, Kim and Kroy reportedly also owe $178.51 in interest dating back to October 5, $2,071.57 in foreclosure fees. They also owe $1.945.31 in attorneys' fees as well as $59.50 in per diem charges.

The Simmons Bank lawsuit was initially filed in July. It involves a home equity line of credit that Kim and Kroy on, according to legal docs obtained by Us.

Kim and Kroy have been struggling with their financial condition amid their split. The retired athlete first submitted divorce papers in May amid reports suggesting that he and Kim owe $1.1 million to the IRS in unpaid taxes, interest and penalties from 2013, 2017 as well as 2018. In addition, the former couple owes the state of Georgia $15k for unpaid taxes from 2018.

However, Kim and Kroy decided to give their marriage a second try in July. It only took around one month for Kroy to change his mind and file for divorce from Kim again in late August. Most recently, on October 18, the two were caught on camera arriving at an airport together.
