The 'Greedy' hitmaker shares that they'll ask each other's opinion about the songs they're working on, noting that it's such a 'cool' and 'interesting' experience.

AceShowbiz - Being young talented singer/songwriters, Tate McRae and Olivia Rodrigo are bonding over music. The "Greedy" hitmaker shared that they would ask each other's opinion about the songs they're working on and she revealed that she even convinced Olivia not to remove one particular song from her album "Guts".

During her appearance on "Capital FM", Tate revealed that she let Olivia listen to "three or four" her new music just like what the "Traitor" singer did before she released her sophomore album. "So we're about to go on another In-N-Out drive soon, to get her opinion on it," Tate explained.

Of the experience of sharing unreleased songs, the "she's all i wanna be" songstress said, "It's so cool. It's such an interesting thing because when songs are still in process, like, the amount of doubt of like, 'is this an awful song or is this a great song?' because you're so biased and so into it, just like so funny."

She then recalled when Olivia played some of her songs. "[She's] like, 'God, I hate it, like, it's so awful.' and I'm like, 'Girl, what are you talking about? This is amazing,' " she shared.

Tate then revealed the one song that the former "High School Musical: The Musical: The Series" actress was "unsure about releasing" was "Pretty Isn't Pretty". Calling the song one of her favorites in the album, Tate gushed, "I think it's such a beautiful song and I was like so shocked that she wasn't going to release it."

Prior to this, Olivia dished on her friendship with Tate when she was on "The New Hit List". "I just always thought that she was the coolest and I really loved her music," the "Drivers License" singer recalled. "She's so nice, and we just like really connect, and it's so awesome to have someone in this industry who I can talk to. She's just wonderful. the most genuine, kind person you'll ever meet."

Talking about Tate's concert, the "Vampire" hitmaker said, "It was so much fun, so great." She added, "It was the first time I saw her perform 'Greedy', which is…I just love that song, so it was it was a grand old time."
