The former 'Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' star shares via social media an update on her recovery and reveals her hope for progress with immunotherapy cream.

AceShowbiz - Teddi Mellencamp has given an update on her skin cancer battle following a surgery. After going under the knife to remove another melanoma on her back, the former star of "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" revealed that she is praying "so hard" for progress with immunotherapy cream.

On Monday, October 23, the 42-year-old ex-Bravo star made use of her Instagram page to share with her fans a "Melanoma Immunotherapy Update" amid her recovery. In a post, she penned, "It's been 12 days since I started the immunotherapy cream on my shoulder, and sadly it has not blistered yet. Blisters = it's working."

Teddi went on to write, "So my doctors are upping the dosage in the hopes that kicks it into gear. Otherwise, we are going to have to take next steps, which is a full skin graft of my shoulder, taking the skin from my lower abdomen. Let's just say I have never prayed so hard for some blisters."

In the same post, the reality TV star did not forget to voice her appreciation. "As always, thank you for your love, support and sharing your own stories. This all gives me the strength to push through and continue to share mine. @curemelanoma #melanomaawareness #melanoma #immunotherapy," she concluded.

Along with the update, Teddi uploaded a photo of her showing off her upper back. In the snap, which was taken from behind, it could be seen that she had several red scars around one of her shoulders. She was posing topless as she covered her blonde hair with a white towel.

Teddi announced that she was diagnosed with stage 2 of skin cancer back in October 2022. Since then, she has undergone more than ten biopsies. Nearly one year later, in September, she revealed that she is doing another form of treatment called immunotherapy.

"Another update I didn't want to give but in an effort to be fully transparent and help others, here goes…I received the call yesterday from my doctor that not all the margins are clear after my last wide excision surgery," she penned via Instagram on September 29. "Because the area is so broad they no longer feel comfortable cutting."

The daughter of John Mellencamp continued, "They said I can wait a week so I can show at nationals but upon my return I will start on a 5-week immunotherapy cream, 'Immunotherapy is an anti-cancer treatment that uses the body's immune system to attack cancer cells. An immunotherapy cream called imiquimod (Aldara) is a cream that stimulates the immune system.' "
