AceShowbiz - Antonio Brown has been arrested following a warrant. The former Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver was put behind bars a few days after his baby mama stated that she wanted him arrested for allegedly failing to pay child support.
The 35-year-old former NFL player got arrested outside of his home in Dania Beach, Florida on Sunday, October 15 around midnight, according to Local 10 News. It happened following a warrant issued by the Miami-Dade Police Department, which was obtained by the local media outlet.
According to several outlets, the athlete, who reportedly missed a number of child support payments to her former girlfriend Wiltrice Jackson, was getting into a taxi in Broward County before he was taken into custody by the Broward County Sheriff's Department. He was later released from jail on a $15,000 bond.
The arrest came shortly after his ex-flame Wiltrice declared that she wanted him to be put behind bars. In an interview published by TMZ on Sunday, she stated, "I do want him arrested." On the reason why, she explained, "Because I just feel like as of now he's making a mockery out of the judge, like a mockery out of everything because he feels like he's untouchable."
"And it's like the stuff that he writes me and my daughter is completely, like, off the line. He acts like we are strangers or something and like my daughter is not his kid or something. He talked to us like we are strangers on the street or something. And at the moment, how I'm feeling like I do want him arrested, I don't think anything could change as of right now," she further explained.
Antonio and Wiltrice share a 15-year-old daughter together. Wiltrice herself talked about her daughter in the same interview. "My daughter had a chance to go to one of the number one track and field schools this year and you blew that off," she revealed. "And you got my daughter in a public school as of now and that's not cool with me. And the last seven years, my daughter has been in nothing but private schooling."
