AceShowbiz - Cole Sprouse has responded to fans' strong reaction to a picture of his feet on Instagram. The "Riverdale" star appeared to laugh off haters who claimed to be grossed out by the picture that he posted on his feed on Sunday, July 23.
Taking to his Instagram Story, the former child actor wrote on Monday, "It's okay to like the foot photo. You don't have to lie." The 30-year-old star went on to pen, "I see you all engaging with it."
Cole recently treated his Instagram followers to a snap of him lounging outdoors. As he put his feet on the table, the picture gave a closer look at his feet that many didn't appreciate. "Lately…," Cole simply wrote in the caption.
Fans quickly flooded the comments section with negative responses to the "gross" photo. "At least cut the nails," one of them commented. Another said, "unfollowed bc I just got scared." One other asked, "I don't mean to body shame but is that cellulite on your big toe?"
"Next time you will be blocked," one user warned Cole. "It's not too late to delete," one other urged with someone else noting, "It's like that one courage the cowardly dog episode when the giant purple fungus foot overtakes Eustace's body."
Some others, meanwhile, were trolling "The Suite Life of Zack and Cody" alum. "You know he used his toe to push the timed picture button LOL," one troll said. "I'm reporting this to the local authorities," one other added. One person, however, wondered, "Why are people mad? What am I missing??"
Prior to this, Cole made headlines after he admitted that he had his first sexual intercourse at the age of 14. During his appearance on "Call Her Daddy" podcast, the former Disney star said that he met an older girl while on a family vacation and cleared his brother out of the room so he could have sex for the first time.
"I was 14 when I lost my virginity, so this is still bowl-cut guy," he recalled. "I was on a family trip in Florida, and I met this girl who was older, so that's already dubious."
"The first night we kind of made out, the second night - this makes me nervous, it's so cringey - I, like, knocked on her hotel door. I looked at her, and I was like, 'So, are you like DTF?' You know, down to f**k' I was 14. She goes 'Sure!' "
He continued, "We were all staying in the same hotel room because we were 14. I was like, 'Dude, you gotta get out of the room, man. I've got a girl coming over. We pass each other, my brother looks at me and goes, 'What the f**k are we supposed to do?' I looked at him, and I said another line that he's never forgiven me for. I was like, 'I dunno, go play chess or something.' "
Cole, however, expressed regret for losing his virginity that way. He said, "I lasted about 20 seconds. I ended up regretting that experience a little bit because I hadn't made it special at all. After that, I became truly a serial monogamist. I went from long-term relationship to long-term relationship."
