When attending the Shawn Carter Foundation gala, the 'Every Chance I Get' singer admits that he and his entrepreneur wife want to add a daughter to their family of four.

AceShowbiz - DJ Khaled has been "praying and trying" to have a daughter. A few years after welcoming his second child with Nicole Tuck, the "Every Chance I Get" singer got candid that he and his wife want to add another child to their family of four.

The 47-year-old music producer made the admission during an interview with Page Six when attending the Shawn Carter Foundation gala at Pier 60. Having been a father of two sons, he confessed, "I can't even lie to you. We have been praying and trying for a girl."

In the interview, Khaled also shared how he and his partner are teaming up to raise their two boys. "The kids hang out with mommy and daddy every day and they see us work every day, so that’s how you teach your kids how to hustle," he said. “You bring them around greatness and you bring them around love."

Making a further reference to his 6-year-old son and 3-year-old son respectively, the "Wild Thoughts" singer went on to state, "I let Asahd and Aalam know everyday that if they want sneakers I tell them daddy gotta work hard to continue to buy boxes and boxes."

Despite instilling the value of hardwork to his sons, Khaded still made sure that his boys got everything they needed. "My kids are going to be good forever because mommy and daddy will make sure of that. That is what all mothers and fathers strive to do," he explained.

"But we also want them to be able to grow up and do whatever they want to do," he additionally pointed out. "Take the blessing to continue the legacy and take it to wherever they want to do cause we do everything for our kids."

Coming to the Shawn Carter Foundation gala, Khaled hit the red carpet with Nicole. There, they discussed how they maintained a good relationship despite his fame. "That's my best friend,” Khaled first gushed over his wife in an interview with Hollywood Life.

Nicole chimed in, "You've got to be real at all times." In response, Khaled went on to say, "My family, we're a real family. We're pure and we're real. So, our happy moments are the happiest moments. But My Queen, she always keeps it real. And I keep it real all the time."

Khaled further explained, "I think any relationship, you've just got to be real and pure, and you've got to stand beside each other, through the good times, hard times, and even when it rains. And that's what a relationship is about. That's how you know you have a true relationship."
