AceShowbiz - Bill Gates has yet to take his romance with Paula Hurd to the next level. The Microsoft co-founder found himself being entangled in speculations that he had gotten engaged after his girlfriend was spotted wearing a ring on that finger, but his representative was quick to pour cold water on the rumors.
Setting the record straight, a representative for the 67-year-old told TMZ on Monday, July 17 that his girlfriend's jewelry piece is not an engagement ring. The rep further noted that the widow of Mark Hurd has had the ring for more than ten years before her wearing it sparked the engagement speculations.
Paula was seen wearing a massive golden ring on her wedding finger on Saturday, July 16. At the time, Paula was out and about with Bill and his three children, 27-year-old Jennifer, 24-year-old Rory and 20-year-old Phoebe, in New York City. During the outing, they were seen coming out of a restaurant named Boucherie in the West Village.
In pictures obtained by DailyMail.com, Paula looked chic in an all-black ensemble. She donned a long-sleeved crewneck sweatshirt, a pair of fitted long black jeans and black loafers with short heels. She added a silver wristwatch and carried a small black purse that came with silver studs on it. She also had black bracelet and matching leather belt.
Bill, in the meantime, went with a cozy getup. He sported a blue button-up shirt under a long-sleeved dark gray sweatshirt that came with a zipper and small pocket on the chest. He added a pair of long gray pants, black sneakers with white soles and clear glasses. He covered his short hair in a navy hat.
A few months earlier, Bill and Paula were reported to be "inseparable." In February, a source who claimed to be the couple's friend told DailyMail.com, "They're inseparable. They've been together over a year and she's always described as a 'mystery woman,' but it's no mystery to their inner circle that they're in a romantic relationship."
