AceShowbiz - Timothee Chalamet brings magic with chocolate in the first trailer for Warner Bros. Pictures' "Wonka". Released on Tuesday, July 11, the trailer charts the journey of Chalamet's titular character, Willy Wonka, who is determined to start his own chocolate business.
But his dream soon faces challenges from The Chocolate Cartel which has been ruling the town. Against the odds, the passionate chocolatier invents his own kinds of chocolate and opens a new shop that brings magic that could change everyone's life.
Filled with humor and dream-like sequences, the video also offers a glimpse of a touching moment when Wonka remembers his mother, who seemingly serves as his motivation. The trailer ends with Wonka conversing with Hugh Grant's Oompa Loompa, who makes his debut in the video.

The cast includes Calah Lane, Keegan-Michael Key, Paterson Joseph, Matt Lucas, Mathew Baynton, Oscar nominee Sally Hawkins, Rowan Atkinson, Jim Carter, with Oscar winner Olivia Colman. The film also stars Natasha Rothwell, Rich Fulcher, Rakhee Thakrar, Tom Davis and Kobna Holdbrook-Smith.
The musical fantasy film is set to open in theaters and in IMAX internationally beginning in December 2023 and in North America on December 15, just in time for Christmas.
