AceShowbiz - Adele doesn't want to see another performer be pelted with an object again. When weighing in on the "trend" of throwing objects at musicians, the "Easy on Me" hitmaker dared concertgoers to hurl something onstage during her recent show.
The British singer shared reminders to fans when performing at Ceasar's Palace Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. In a video shared by a fan on TikTok, she could be heard saying, "Have you noticed how people are, like, forgetting show etiquette at the moment, throwing (things) onstage? Have you seen it?"
"I dare you, dare you to throw something at me," the Grammy-winning songstress added while jokingly brandishing a T-shirt gun onstage. "Stop throwing things at the artist!"
Adele is the latest artist to speak up about the matter. Days prior, Charlie Puth penned on Twitter and Instagram Story, "This trend of throwing things at performers while they are on stage must come to an end. ([Bebe Rexha], [Ava Max], AND NOW Kelsea Ballerini…) It's so disrespectful and very dangerous. Please just enjoy the music I beg of you."
Aside from the abovementioned entertainers, Lil Nas X became the victim of this "trend." The "Old Town Road" hitmaker was surprised after a concertgoer hurled a sex toy mimicking a vagina during his set at European Lollapalooza in Stockholm, Sweden.
The singer/rapper, however, took the situation lightly. "Who threw they p***y onstage?" he jokingly confronted the crowd at the July 1 show. He then continued his performance not long after.
While Nas X was left unharmed by the incident, Bebe experienced the opposite. She sustained an eye injury after someone threw a phone that hit her in the face during a "Best F'n Night of My Life Tour" stop in New York City on June 18. Kelsea was also startled when someone threw a bracelet at her, hitting her in the eye.
