Ne-Yo won't hesitate to put fans in their place if they become off-limits. After a woman took his trademark hat during his performance at Nelly's Hot In Herre Festival in Toronto, the "Miss Independent" hitmaker decided to kick out the person.
In a now-viral video, the Grammy Award-winning crooner could be seen taking his hat back from the excited fan. "Kai's not a Ne-Yo fan. She know good and goddamn well she wasn't supposed to grab my hat," he said. "Kai get your a** back over there!"
Ne-Yo then scooted the fan off stage by the waist as he wanted to continue his performance. However, instead of exiting the stage, the woman showed off her twerking skills. Not impressed by it, the musician pretended to boot her off the stage by kicking his leg out.
Many have since reacted to the hilarious clip. "That kick needs to be a meme," one person commented. "He gave her the 'Despicable Me' kick," another replied, while someone else exclaimed, "The kick was hilarious!!!!!!"
Ne-Yo himself has caught wind of the video. Proving that he wasn't upset by the woman's action, the artist left a few laughing emojis under the clip.
Music aside, Ne-Yo recently made headlines after his baby mama, Sade Bagnerise, asked him to pay her monthly child support and reimbursement for their children's basic expenses. In return, she agreed to share joint legal custody of their two kids.
Though so, Sage denied that she's fighting Ne-Yo in court. She even sang praise to her baby daddy for being a "proud pappy," adding, "He be scandalous affff lmao but he does right by ALL his kids."
