Takeoff Receives First Birthday Tribute From Fellow Artists Since His Death

A few months after his tragic passing, the late 'Last Memory' rapper is being remembered on his 29th birthday by Quavo, Offset and Rich the Kid among many others.

AceShowbiz - Takeoff has received his first birthday tribute since his tragic passing. On the day he would have turned 29 years old, the late "Last Memory" rapper, who was gunned down in Texas following an altercation a few months earlier, was remembered by many of his fellow artists.

On Sunday, June 18, one of Takeoff's Migos bandmates, Quavo, uploaded an Instagram video of himself with the late rapper. The short clip documented the two looking at jackets in a wardrobe room. At one point, Quavo could be seen showing his phone to Takeoff.

Along with the throwback footage, Quavo penned, "Happy Birthday @yrntakeoff can't wait for days like this again!!! BEST believe we goin up all week the Rocket way GEEKD u 29 n***a." The "Workin Me" rapper added a slew of rocket and infinity emojis. His post prompted 2 Chainz and Ty Dolla $ign to also pay their tribute in the comments section.

Also offering tribute to Takeoff was another Migos rapper, Offset. He posted a series of photos capturing him and Takeoff on Instagram. Portraying the bond the two shared, one of the released pictures captured Offset laying down on a coach with his legs on the lap of Takeoff who sat next to him.

Alongside the snaps, the husband of Cardi B remembered his fallen pal by writing, "Happy birthday rocket man. the greatest to touch a mic!! best spirit ever!! purest man I know your heart was golden bring me peace bra we celebrate your life because you still right here I love you gang."

Offset went on to add a number of rocket emojis in the caption of his tribute post. Like Quavo's post, his also drew in many birthday tributes from other stars, such as Fabolous and Jacquees who left a slew of black heart emojis to honor their fallen hip-hop artist.

Aside from the Migos members, Takeoff's pal Rich the Kid also honored the late rapper by sharing a series of throwback snaps and a video. Accompanying the post, Rich stated, "Happy birthday to my best friend, my brother the rocket [rocket emoji]. I miss picking up the phone & talking to you about absolutely anything."

"You the realest there was never any hate in your heart ever [red heart emoji]. Last year was one of the best we did everything, Matching pateks matching Rolexs, matching bracelets & Jesus pieces.. Back 2 back jets to the islands, bring me back to the Bando days when we was sharing pradas .. miss you bro today we celebrate you," he continued.
