Kim Zolciak's divorce from Kroy Biermann is getting nasty. Kroy even labeled Kim a "bad mother" for their children, but the former star of "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" didn't waste time firing back at him.
In a statement to TMZ, Kim's attorney, David Beaudry, said that Kroy's statement about Kim was misleading and harmful to both the reality star and their young kids.
"The emotional and mental abuse Kim has suffered from this man for so many years has taken a toll on her and, most heartbreakingly, their children," said the lawyer. "Kim has always been an extremely devoted mother to her children; they are her entire world and she is always there to love and support them every step of the way."
"She refuses to allow Kroy to paint her as something she is not for his own gain, David explained further. "Kim looks forward to the day we can appear in court and solve these issues once and for all."
Kim and Kroy each filed for divorce from one another on May 5 after 11 years of marriage. In the docs, they both state that they are in a "bona fide state of separation." She lists April 30 as the date of separation and says their marriage is "irretrievably broken with no hope of reconciliation."
Around the same time, reports emerged that the reality TV star and the former football player owe $1.1 million to the IRS in unpaid taxes, interest and penalties from 2013, 2017 and 2018. They also owe the state of Georgia $15k for unpaid taxes for 2018.
