The 'Love on Top' hitmaker and her hip-hop mogul husband are reported to have bought a 30,000-square-foot all-concrete mansion designed by Japanese master architect Tadao Ando in California.

AceShowbiz - Beyonce Knowles and husband Jay-Z have set a new record. Spending $200 million on a Malibu house, the "Love on Top" hitmaker and her hip-hop mogul husband were likely to have bought the most expensive home ever sold in California.

In a report released by TMZ on Friday, May 19, the married couple was alleged to have spent the hefty sum to buy the 30,000-square-foot mansion in Malibu's greatest neighborhood. It is situated on an 8-acre cliff viewing the Pacific Ocean in the Paradise Cove neighborhood, which is known as Billionaires' Row.

The pair's purchase broke the prior record of $177 million. Their jaw-dropping spending on the house also became the second most expensive residential property transaction in the country since the highest price for a Manhattan, New York City flat was at $238 million price. The twosome would have got the country record as well if they bought the house within its original price for $295 million.

The house Beyonce and Jay-Z bought is an architectural beauty designed by Japanese master architect Tadao Ando, who is also famous for designing Kanye West's Malibu home. The pair purchased it from William Bell, one of the world's largest art collectors. Their new home came with an all-concrete building that took the previous owner about 15 years to complete.

Beyonce and Jay-Z's New House

Beyonce and Jay-Z purchased a $200 million Malibu home.

This was not the first time Beyonce and Jay-Z spent a fortune on a property. Back in 2017, the parents of Blue Ivy paid $88 million for their first huge property purchase. It was a Bel-Air estate located in the city of Los Angeles. Accordingly, they invested more into the house so that it is now estimated to be worth close to $100 million.

Beyonce and Jay-Z's extravagant home purchase was reported a few days after Queen Bey went viral for acknowledging a dedicated fan during a concert. On May 15, a video made its way out on Twitter and revealed the 41-year-old superstar's reaction upon learning that one of the concertgoers had attended 35 of her concerts.
