Attending the Paramount Pictures presentation held in Los Angeles, the 'Work' hitmaker oozes pregnancy glow in a loose denim dress that covers her baby bump.

AceShowbiz - Pregnant Rihanna has made a surprise appearance at CinemaCon 2023. Surprising the gathering crowd, the "Work" hitmaker took the stage during the Paramount Pictures presentation and revealed her new role in Paramount and Nickelodeon's new "The Smurfs" movie.
The 35-year-old songstress made a brief appearance at the Los Angeles event on Thursday, April 27 to unveil that she would be filling the voice of Smurfette in the upcoming movie which is set to be released in February 2025. "I'll be playing Smurfette," she began to spill.
Rihanna, who opted to go with a loose denim dress for the occasion, went on to joke onstage, "I tried to get the Papa Smurf part, but it didn't work out." She added, "I got to play a part and just imagine. I got just to be myself. I hope this gives me a little bit of cool points with my kids one day."
The "Diamonds" singer continued sharing her excitement for her new role. "I got to show up in my pajamas in my third trimester and play a little blue badass. I can't wait for you guys to see how she's been reimagined," she gushed. "The entire movie is going to be so fun. It's so thrilling."
Rihanna would not only take part as the voice actress of Smurfette in the upcoming movie, but also as the film's musical producer. The Fenty Beauty owner is expected to write and produce original music for the project.
On Rihanna's involvement, Paramount Pictures President and CEO Brian Robbins said in a press release, "We couldn't be more excited to have found our Smurfette in one of the most beloved stars in the world."
Film project aside, Rihanna is currently expecting baby number two with her boyfriend A$AP Rocky. She and the "LSD" rapper had already welcomed their first child, a son, back in May 2022.
