The TDE rapper announces the happy news by sharing a photo of him cradling the babies in his arms as he sits behind a portrait of his late friend, Doe Burger.

AceShowbiz - Ab-Soul is now officially a first-time father. The Top Dawg Entertainment rapper announced on Monday, April 24 that he has welcomed twins and gave fans a look at his newborn babies.
Making use of Instagram, the 36-year-old shared a photo of him cradling the babies in his arms as he sat behind a portrait of his late friend, Doe Burger. In the caption, he quoted lyrics from Jay-Z and Beanie Sigel's collaborative single, "Streets Is Talking".
"Everybody stressin. Who's his babies mom? Who he got pregnant?" the emcee, whose real name is Herbert Anthony Stevens IV, wrote in the accompaniment of the post. "Let me tell you, uuuhhhh…"
Ab-Soul has yet to offer more details on his newborns, such as their sex and names. The "Bloody Waters" spitter also didn't reveal the mother of the babies.
The exciting news arrived around four months after Ab-Soul got candid about one of his darkest moments. When sitting down with Rolling Stone, he admitted that he nearly committed suicide after writing much of his album.
"Most of what you've heard, I wrote before … it," the Los Angeles-born artist explained. "I just wanna make it clear: You see me smiling, but it's not funny. I think that's just my way of healing from it."
Ab-Soul hopes by sharing his story, those who hit the rock bottom will feel less alone. "Me sharing my testimony - if it doesn't help, it might let you know you're not the only one going through it," he said. "That's what ultimately gives me the courage to put it out there."
Ab-Soul said he wouldn't mind if people use his new album, "Herbert", as a way to heal from their own issues. The album itself is set to be released on December 16 and includes appearances from Big Sean, Russ, Joey Bada$$, Jhene Aiko, SiR Punch, Zacari, Fre$h, Ambre, ALEMEDA and Lance Skiiiwalker.
