The 'Masked Singer' host teases that he's 'about to do something special' for his ailing friend, who remains hospitalized but 'awake and alert' after a medical complication one week ago.

AceShowbiz - Nick Cannon continues sending his prayers to Jamie Foxx amid the latter's hospitalization and he means it literally. The multi-talented star said he has been "saying prayers out loud" for his friend, who has been hospitalized for over a week now.

"Man, I'm praying," the father of 12 told ET's Kevin Frazier over the weekend when asked about how the Oscar-winning actor has been doing. "You see, I posted on Instagram. I literally have been saying prayers out loud. Words of affirmation for my big brother."

Nick then revealed his promise to do his ailing friend "a favor." He shared, "I know he's doing so much better because I'm actually about to do something special for him, and doing him a favor."

"The Masked Singer" host was reluctant to spill the details of what his "favor" is, but he teased that it will be "out there soon." He explained, "I can't really say what it is, but it'll be out there soon."

"I was reluctant to go all the way there, and even talk about it, but he gave me the blessing, so it's a beautiful thing," the 42-year-old added of his plans, before assuring that Jamie is getting better. "He's awake. They say he's alert, so, we love it," he said. "That's family right there."

Jamie's daughter Corinne Foxx revealed on April 12 that the actor has been hospitalized in Georgia after experiencing what she described as "medical complication" one day before. "Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery," she said in a statement at the time. "We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers. The family asks for privacy during this time."

An insider recently revealed that the Hollywood star is making good progress with his recovery. The source told PEOPLE, "He's OK, thank God. He's still in the hospital and doctors are running tests, but he's awake and alert. They're keeping him under observation."
