AceShowbiz - Jamie Foxx is hospitalized after experiencing a medical emergency. His daughter Corinne Foxx revealed her father's recent health scare via Instagram on Wednesday, April 12, as he's currently in recovery.
Corinne, who's followed her father's footsteps as an actress, explained that the 55-year-old actor suffered what the family called a "medical complication" on Tuesday, but is saved thanks to "quick action."
"We wanted to share that, my father, Jamie Foxx, experienced a medical complication yesterday," so the 29-year-old posted on her social media page. "Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery."
The "47 Meters Down: Uncaged" star turned off the comments on the post, but added in her statement, "We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers. The family asks for privacy during this time. Much love, The Foxx Family."
A rep for Jamie has not spoken up on his condition, while sources allegedly with direct knowledge tell TMZ that his condition was serious enough. It's unclear what condition he was suffering.
He has been working in Atlanta on a new film called "Back in Action", which marks Cameron Diaz's acting comeback and also stars Glenn Close. It's unknown how Jamie's illness will affect the shooting schedule.
Back in March, it was reported that production on the film was paused following a plot to steal $40,000 from Jamie. Bosses of Netflix halted the filming as they carried out a probe, with a member of staff getting the sack and police being involved in the investigation.
"One staffer has been sacked, and there are investigations after someone tried to get access to £33,000 in cash from Jamie Foxx," a source told The Sun. "It sounds as though they tried to offer up a Rolex watch as part of the deal but now there's an investigation into everything going on. People will be glad when this thing finally wraps."
