The 'Love on Top' hitmaker gets the blame after her protegee's debut album 'In Pieces', which was released on March 31, has poor album sales, selling only 10,000 units in its first week.

AceShowbiz - People think Beyonce Knowles should do better. The "Love on Top" hitmaker gets the blame after her protegee Chloe Bailey's debut album "In Pieces" has poor album sales, selling only 10,000 units in its first week.

Upon learning of the number, fans took to social media to criticize the Grammy winner for not promoting Chloe's album despite being her mentor. "Beyonce literally hates her lol didn't do anything for the album couldn't even give her a feature and she not even opening up for her during the tour Chloe need to leave that label," one person tweeted.

Similarly, one other said, "Nah beyonce could've at least posted Chloe Bailey album on her story I mean ain't that your artist????" Another fan added, "Beyonce nasty for not promoting Chloe's album a simple IG repost would've probably gave Chloe a top 50 debut."

One comment, meanwhile, read, "not to be funny, but I really wanna know what was the point of Beyonce signing chloe? like was it for a look? so that someone can be under her? I don't get it, cause how do you let your artist drop an album & you don't support it not once & now she sold 10k." Chloe and her sister Halle Bailey are signed to Parkwood Entertainment, which was founded by Beyonce in 2008.

On the other hand, Chloe appeared to react to criticism after people called her album, which was released on March 31 and debuted at No. 119 on the Billboard 200, a "flop." Taking to her Twitter account, the "Have Mercy" singer wrote on Monday, April 10, "in pieces was about letting go & trusting myself. i've enjoyed every moment of it and i love everyone who listened to it."

While Beyonce doesn't seem to show public support for Chloe's album, the one half of Chloe X Halle previously shared that the "Drunk in Love" songstress was supportive behind the scenes. "[Beyonce] listened to the album," Chloe told Entertainment Tonight earlier this month. "She gave me notes on it before I released it."

She went on gushing on the star, saying, "I love her so much. Dearly, dearly, and I'm grateful to her for everything."
