The 32-year-old Colombian singer calls out the magazine by sharing a bare-faced selfie and the edited cover photo on Instagram.

AceShowbiz - Karol G isn't happy with the photo editing that was done to her recent magazine cover. Taking to social media, the "TQG" singer called out GQ for photoshopping her face and body on her cover.

On Thursday, April 6, the 32-year-old shared a bare-faced selfie and the edited cover photo. She began her caption, "I don't even know where to start this message... Today my GQ magazine cover was made public, a cover with an image that DOES NOT represent me."

"My face does not look like this, my body does not look like that and I feel very happy and comfortable with how I look naturally," she added. "I thank the opportunity magazine because I was very happy when they confirmed it would be there, but despite making clear my discontent with the number of editions you they did the photo, they didn't do anything about it, as if to look good I needed all those changes."

"I understand the repercussions this can have, but beyond feeling it's disrespectful to me," she went on fuming. "It's to the women that we wake up every day looking to feel comfortable with ourselves despite society's stereotypes."

Photoshopping aside, Karol had something to celebrate last month as her new album, "Manana Sera Bonito", debuted at No. 1 on Billboard 200 albums chart. It marks her first No. 1 and the chart's first No. 1 all-Spanish-language album by a female artist.

The set earns 94,000 equivalent album units in the U.S. in the week ending March 2, according to Luminate. Prior to this, the only two all-Spanish albums that ever topped the tally were Bad Bunny's "Un Verano Sin Ti" in 2022 and "El Ultimo Tour del Mundo" in 2020.
