The new track, which appears as the opening track of Boogie's new album on streaming services, is released a couple of days after what would have been the late Philadelphia rapper's 31st birthday.

AceShowbiz - PnB Rock is remembered by A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie with a touching gesture. The late Philadelphia rapper, who was fatally shot during a robbery in September, is featured on the New York native's new single.

PnB Rock was added to Boogie's new album "Me vs. Myself" days after the project's release, thanks to the addition of a new single. "Me vs. Myself" arrived on Friday, December 9 with 22 tracks that feature the likes of Kodak Black, Lil Durk, Tory Lanez, G-Herbo (Lil Herb), Roddy Ricch, H.E.R. and Don Q.

Then on Sunday, December 11, Boogie released the deluxe version of his new project. The deluxe edition boasts 23 tracks with the addition of "Needed That" featuring a posthumous appearance by PnB Rock. The new track, produced by Niaggi and Ricardo Josias, now appears as the album's opening track on streaming services.

"Needed That" also comes after what would have been PnB Rock's 31st birthday on Friday. While the song was not included on the original coinciding "Me vs. Myself", Boogie did pay tribute to his longtime friend and collaborator with an Instagram post with birthday wishes. "Until we meet again, Forever in my heart is where I keep you friend," so the "Drowning" spitter wrote. "HBD BROSKII @pnbrock."

PnB Rock was shot to death during a robbery at the Roscoe's Chicken and Waffles restaurant on September 12. He was laid to rest in his hometown of Philadelphia in a Muslim funeral ceremony on September 21.

As for now, three suspects, Freddie Lee Trone, his partner Shauntel Trone and their 17-year-old son, are in police custody. Freddie and his minor son were each charged with murder, conspiracy to commit robbery and second-degree robbery. Shauntel, in the meantime, was charged with accessory. Police are reportedly still looking for a fourth suspect who may have played an instrumental role in the murder.
