The studio appears to reveal the release date of the Fenty Beauty founder's new song for upcoming 'Black Panther: Wakanda Forever' via a cryptic Instagram post.

AceShowbiz - Rihanna's music comeback is apparently finally getting a date. After the long wait for her new music, fans believe that a new song from the Barbadian-born star is coming this week, on Friday, October 28.

It was Marvel that dropped the hint at Rih's new song via its social media account. On Tuesday, October 25, the studio shared a cryptic post that features the title treatment of "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever" before the letter "R" stands alone along with the date "10.28.22."

The post was without audio and Marvel only captioned it with "#WakandaForever." While there was very little hint that the post was about Rihanna, the star herself confirmed her collaboration with Marvel as she left some emojis in the comment section.

Fans were soon convinced that Rihanna's new song will be coming this Friday. Sharing their excitement on social media, one person exclaimed, "RIHANNA FINALLLLLLY." Another reacted to the post, "Rihanna the singer is here."

A third commented, "After 6 years Rihanna is finally coming," with a meme of Michael Jackson's music video. Someone else gushed, "We're witnessing a Rihanna comeback in this lifetime im [sic] so happy."

Some others, meanwhile, warned fans of potential disappointment should the collaboration come in another form instead of music. "It better not be a collaboration with Fenty Beauty," one person remarked. Another enthused, "Y'all gone be so sad when it’s a black panther eyeshadow collection."

Earlier this month, it was reported that Rih has recorded two new songs for the "Black Panther" sequel. The new songs she's dropping reportedly include the end credits song, but the news wasn't immediately confirmed by the Grammy-winning artist or Marvel.

Rihanna has additionally been spotted hitting the studio after she was announced to perform at Super Bowl LVII Halftime Show on February 12, 2023, at State Farm Stadium. She has not released any solo songs in years, with her eighth and last studio album "Anti" arriving in 2016.
