AceShowbiz - Amber Portwood is reassuring her fans that she's not taking drugs. The "Teen Mom" star has urged a social media user to be "positive" after she's accused of being on drugs in her latest selfie.
On Saturday, November 20, the "16 and Pregnant" alum shared a sweet photo of herself on her Instagram account. In the caption, she wrote, "Hope all of you beautiful souls are having a wonderful weekend. I'm thinking about all the things I'm grateful for heading into the thanksgiving holiday, what are you thankful for?"
In the comment section, many fans were eager to play along, with one user writing, "I'm thankful for my three beautiful children," while another commented, "Am thankful for getting over covid this week [love emoji]." Amid the positive comments, a user replied, "Those pupils are huge sis."
Amber didn't waste her time firing back at the troll. Defending herself, the 31-year-old responded, "Because my medicine is a must hun. Please be positive [love emoji]. What are you thankful for?"
Another fan rushed to Amber's defense, adding, "Keep being real and educating people. Some psych meds will cause your pupils to be enlarged. My husband and I are PTSD advocates for firefighters and first responders who can't function without meds." The fan continued to show some support to the reality TV star, "Wishing you a wonderful Thanksgiving @realamberlportwood1__ ! Much love [love emoji]."
Amber further explained the situation later via Instagram Live. "My pupils can be as big as they can be," the mother of two told her viewers. "I'm in a dark, f**king house, and I'm also on medications. Duh!"
Previously, Amber was accused of using drugs by her ex Andrew Glennon. Amid their custody battle, Andrew made such allegations in a court filing, noting that Amber has a "history of substance abuse, even while pregnant with and subsequently caring for the minor child herein." Andrew also said that Amber seemed "paranoid and disheveled" at an October 16 parenting exchange.
Amber then filed an objection. The TV personality shared that she underwent regular drug testing while she's on probation from her 2019 domestic battery case. "Mother denies adamantly the allegations made in Father's Motion and believes that a hair follicle test is unnecessary due to her history of negative drug screens and continued requirement to submit to same," she said in her response.
