Aside from talking about her new duet with the 'I Will Survive' hitmaker, the 'Can't Stop Writing Songs About You' singer expresses her longing to go on tour once again.

AceShowbiz - Social media led to Kylie Minogue's new duet with disco legend Gloria Gaynor.

The pair have teamed up on "Can't Stop Writing Songs About You", lifted from the repackaged Guest List Edition of the Aussie pop star's 2020 album "Disco".

It features duets with Dua Lipa, Years & Years, Jessie Ware and Gaynor - a union that came about after the "I Will Survive" hitmaker shared the love with Kylie online.

"I released 'Disco' last year, (Gloria) commented on my socials and said: 'I love what you are doing. Thanks for keeping disco alive,' " recalls Kylie.

"I nearly fell off my chair. I was like, 'Gloria Gaynor?' I first heard her in the late '70s the first time I discovered music with my own ears. On the 'Disco' album we do reference 'I Will Survive'."

"As and when we can perform the song live, I start the song and then Gloria Gaynor bursts through," she adds, reported Britain's the Daily Star's Wired column. "That voice is so amazing."

And Kylie can't wait to hit the road and perform her new bunch of tracks live, after COVID shut down the live events industry when she first put the record out.

"Touring is all I want to do. I am dying to go on tour, I really am. I miss my team, I miss all of it," admits the star. "I think it is so cosmic that you have a room full of people who know your music and want to be there."

"We are connected in our lives somewhere and there we are the cosmic moment together."
