Words are the 'Armageddon' actress and the sports manager, who is David Beckham's best friend, called it quits months ago as 'they've grown apart' and 'they've been living separate lives.'

AceShowbiz - Liv Tyler is single again, if words on the street are to be trusted. The Hollywood actress has reportedly pulled the plug on her engagement to her fiance Dave Gardner after seven years together.

According to The Sun, the former pair called it quits several months ago in March, but have decided to keep it "quiet" as they refused to make a fuss over it. A source notes that the split is "entirely amicable," with Liv and Dave agreeing to co-parent their two children together, six-year-old son Sailor and five-year-old daughter Lula.

As to what led to the breakup, the source tells the site, "Dave and Liv spent all of the first lockdown together and are a great team as parents. But unfortunately, they've grown apart and increasingly they've been living separate lives."

"Both wanted to focus on their careers - her acting and producing," the source continues, "and Dave running his business and working on David's Inter Miami football project" in London, while Liv has moved back to Los Angeles. The source adds, "They officially parted ways back in March but they've kept it quiet so as to minimise the fuss.

The source reveals that the exes' focus is to "ensure their kids were OK." Assuring that they remain friendly, the source claims, "They've now come out the other side and are the best of pals. They even went on holiday together this summer."

During the early period of their split, "Dave confided in David Beckham early doors and he was an ­absolute rock." The two have reportedly also found support in their families as "they still share all their mutual pals such as Kate Moss, Stella McCartney and obviously David and Victoria."

News of Liv and Dave's split comes as a surprise since only several weeks ago, the "Armageddon" star posted a birthday tribute to her ex-fiance. "Happy happy birthday # 45 to you dear @davidgardner," she wrote in September along with a video of the sports and entertainment manager in the pool overlooking a beautiful scenery.

Liv and Dave met in 2014 and became engaged in July 2015. She temporarily moved to London shortly after her daughter's birth in July 2016.

The daughter of Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler was previously married to British musician Royston Langdon of the band Spacehog from 2003 until their divorce in 2008. Together, they share a 16-year-old son, Milo.
