The 'Savage' hitmaker contributes to a crowdfunding set up to cover the funeral costs of a Hottie named Shaniah, who passed away of an undisclosed cause last week.

AceShowbiz - Megan Thee Stallion has once again shown her generosity. The Grammy Award-winning artist has helped cover the memorial service and funeral costs of a fan who died unexpectedly last week.

On Tuesday, June 15, a friend of the late Hottie reached out to the Houston native to inform her about the sad news. "Meg we lost a hottie [a crying emoji] our best friend passed away unexpectedly," a Twitter user using the handler @Selenachichis wrote.

The friend added, "They absolutely loved you, listening to ur songs was something we did every time we were together. We're helping their family w funeral costs. We started a gofundme & are halfway there. @theestallion."

The GoFundMe campaign was created on Saturday, June 13 and had a goal of $16,000. By the time the friend reached out to Megan, the campaign had only reached half of its goal. Thanks to Megan, it reached its target after she donated $8,155, which she revealed on Twitter along with a series of blue heart emojis.

Speaking to Complex, the friend expressed her gratitude towards Megan for her kindness. "This has been incredibly overwhelming and we are so thankful to Meg," the friend said.

She went detailing how the crowdfunding came together, "Shaniah, one of my best friends passed away unexpectedly last week. Shocked and confused myself and two of Shaniah's other best friends came together to help Shaniah's family with the funeral. A gofundme was created almost immediately for the funeral but the cost for everything continued to increase. Between the cemetery and funeral home it was going to cost 16k and we had only reached around 7600 and had exhausted all our resources."

@Selenachichis continued to share her memories of her late friend. "Shaniah and I always listened to Meg together and talked about her," she said. "We are such huge fans and I thought I would take a leap and see if we could reach her and just have her rt the gofundme link to reach more people for any possible help with donations. We all came together and asked everyone to tag Meg in hopes of reaching her and somehow it worked."

Megan previously did a similar thing for a fan who was killed after going to her show in Washington D.C. In May 2019, the "WAP" femcee donated $1,200 to help cover the funeral costs and sent her condolences on Twitter, "I am so sorry for your lost His energy was amazing when we met."
