The retired professional baseball player, who called off his engagement to pop star Jennifer Lopez two months prior, reportedly has 'never met' the newly-single 'Dawson's Creek' alum.

AceShowbiz - There's nothing going on between Alex Rodriguez and Katie Holmes. Despite rumors that he visited the "Dawson's Creek" alum's apartment building while he was hunting for a new house in New York City, the MLB legend allegedly did not even "realize" that he stopped by a building that is home to the 42-year-old actress.
Setting the record straight about Alex and Katie's relationship was Page Six. "They have never even met," a source close to him told the outlet. "Alex is looking at lots of different apartments, he didn't even realize it was Katie's building - he's never met her."
The report came after Alex was photographed exiting Katie's apartment building on Sunday, June 13. At that time, he kept it casual by wearing a white T-shirt, matching pants and a pair of sunglasses. The picture of the 45-year-old athlete's outing has since sparked romance rumors between him and the "Batman Begins" star, who just split from her restaurateur beau Emilio Vitolo Jr.
The retired professional baseball player himself recently reunited with his ex-wife Cynthia Scurtis for a workout session. Making use of Instagram Story, he reposted a photo of Cynthia wrapping his leg. In the accompanying message, he raved, "Cynthia is a world class mommy to our girls ... wrapping ice though?!?!?! LOL."
Alex then turned to his Instagram feed to share selfies of him with his gym partners, including Cynthia, as they completed a 54-day fitness challenge. "54D - That's a wrap. Today I completed a nine-week journey with 22 of my classmates. I couldn't be more proud. We took on this challenge together - with family, with @ARodCorp team members and friends," he captioned the snaps.
Alex is currently single after he called it quits with fiancee Jennifer Lopez. While it remains unclear whether he is dating someone new following the split, the "Shotgun Wedding" actress is said to have rekindled her romance with her former fiance, Ben Affleck.
