Timothy Affleck has shared his candid reaction to the reports surrounding his actor son's love life and he's baffled that the media pay more attention to his romance rumors than his philanthropic efforts in Africa.
Calling the tabloid headlines about Bennifer 2.0 "nonsense," Timothy told The Sun in an interview published on Friday, June 4, "I just wish people would focus on the good work my son does in Congo - the women he helps there." He stressed, "There are important stories the media should be reporting like that, not this nonsense [about Jennifer.]"
Timothy, who is also the father to actor Casey Affleck, managed to keep his lips sealed when quizzed on his son's private life. Claiming that he has never heard about it from Ben, he responded to his son's alleged reunion with Jen, "Of course I've heard of her. But I'd no idea about any of this. I talk to my kids about their lives when I see them, and they share with me what they want to share."
Timothy noted that he hasn't "seen my kids in so long" due to COVID-19 and their busy work schedules. When asked about whether the "Gone Girl" star had been "pining" for the "If You Had My Love" singer since they called off their engagement nearly 20 years ago, he responded, "I've never heard of all that nonsense."
