An unfounded rumor posted on Facebook says the 'Outisde Today' rapper, who has been incarcerated at the St. Martin Parish Correctional Center since April 13, was found dead in his cell.

AceShowbiz - NBA YoungBoy a.k.a. YoungBoy Never Broke Again is still alive while he remains behind bars. Jail official has debunked a swirling rumor on the Internet which said that the rapper was found dead in his jail cell earlier this month.

The 21-year-old star has been incarcerated at the St. Martin Parish Correctional Center since April 13. An unfounded claim which was posted on Facebook said, "The worlds biggest artist NBA YOUNGBOY who's real name is Kentrell DeSeaun Gaulden was found dead in his cell earlier today."

However, the news has been debunked by law enforcement officials in Louisiana. Reached out by USA Today for comment, Greg Moroux, chief legal counsel at the facility where the hip-hop star is being held, says that YoungBoy was not found dead in his cell. He is, in fact, still in custody as of Wednesday, May 26, the custody record confirms.

YoungBoy was arrested in March after attempting to fleeing from police in Baton Rogue, La. He was stopped by federal agents executing a federal warrant on drug- and weapons-related charges from a September 2020 arrest, but he abandoned his car and took off on foot.

After a search using a K9, he was found and charged with one count of being a felon in possession of a firearm and one count of possession of an unregistered firearm. He pleaded not guilty to both charges and is in custody awaiting trial, which is scheduled for mid-June.

Despite being confined behind bars, YoungBoy still reached out to his fans by writing open letters. Most recently, he confirmed the news that he's expecting a child with his girlfriend Jazlyn Mychelle while expressing his regret over some things that he's unable to do now.

"I really just want to be there when my daughter born," he wrote in the lengthy text message unearthed earlier this month. "I want to be in the same house as her while she grow up," he lamented as he envisioned how his daughter will grow up without his presence. "I never had that experience. Jaz im sorry (ma'ma). I promise im sorry for every time they ever gotten the chance to come around."

He went on expressing his frustration with feeling alone in the world. "I have a hard time paying attention I then gave and I then been there for people without having nobody to be there for me even with people I talk to. now if they wasnt waiting to receive or been giving something already they wouldnt be here," he shared.

Despite all his concerns, YoungBoy said that he's "good" and sent love to "the ones who really wish for the best for me too."
