A former employee at the Gates Foundation reveals the Microsoft co-founder thought the late convicted pedophile 'would know the right people' that could help him score the prestigious title that he 'wants more than anything else in the world.'

AceShowbiz - Bill Gates allegedly had a hidden agenda behind his friendship with Jeffrey Epstein. The tech genius risked his reputation by befriending the former financier, who pleaded guilty to a state charge of procuring for prostitution a girl below age 18 in 2008, but he apparently didn't gamble for nothing.

Words are the Microsoft co-founder was hoping his ties to the controversial figure could help him win a Nobel Peace Prize. One former Gates Foundation employee makes the revelation to The Daily Beast, saying that members of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation's communications team were alerted to Bill's relationship with Jeffrey and were told it "was a maneuver to try to get himself a Nobel Peace Prize."

"We were aware of things that were potential reputational risks for the foundation and the co-chairs, Bill and Melinda," says the former employee. "Even back then, people knew this guy wasn't squeaky clean," the source says of Jeffrey, who was found dead in his jail cell in 2019.

The staffer goes on claiming, "He [Bill] thought that Jeffrey would be able to help him, that he would know the right people, or some kind of way to massage things, so he could get the Nobel Peace Prize, which is what Bill wants more than anything else in the world."

But Bill hasn't got his allegedly most-desired thing yet and the source opines, "I think he was ultimately disappointed it didn't work out."

To make matter worse, it has been reported that Bill's friendship with Jeffrey was one of the reasons why Melinda decided to end their 27 years of marriage. The former spouses announced their divorce on May 3 via a statement posted on Bill's official Twitter account.

"After a great deal of thought and a lot of work on our relationship, we have made the decision to end our marriage. Over the last 27 years, we have raised three incredible children and built a foundation that works all over the world to enable all people to lead healthy, productive lives," they said in the joint statement.
