The 'Star Wars' star was originally tipped to front the 'Creation Stories' but the man who inspired the movie vetoed the plan because the actor was too good-looking.

AceShowbiz - Creation Records boss Alan McGee urged filmmakers to reconsider plans to ask Ewan McGregor to play the music mogul in a new biopic because he was too good looking.

McGregor's "Trainspotting" co-star Ewan Bremner eventually landed the role of McGee in "Creation Stories", but the mastermind behind bands like Oasis and Primal Scream has revealed the "Star Wars" actor was initially lined up to portray him.

"They proposed Ewan McGregor to me," Alan tells NME.com. "I went, 'I don't look like that! I'm not a good looking chap! I'm just a wee guy from Glasgow.' "

"Then they went, 'What about Spud (Bremner's Trainspotting character)?' I was like, 'F**king right!' He's such a great actor, Ewen Bremner. He gets me. He so gets me."

"Creation Stories" premiered last month (Feb21) at the Glasgow Film Festival, and it is set to be released on Sky Cinema on 20 March.

Meanwhile, Ewan McGregor was last seen in the DC superhero movie "Birds of Prey: And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn" which is led by Margot Robbie.

His next movie is a long-gestating adaptation of the classic children's story "Pinocchio". Co-written and co-directed by Guillermo del Toro, the film also features voice cast members like Ron Perlman, Tilda Swinton, Christoph Waltz, and Cate Blanchett.

The actor is also cast for a new crime thriller "The Birthday Cake", where he shares screen with Val Kilmer and Ashley Benson among others.
