The former 'Glee' main star is forced to give up Twitter as she is facing relentless trolling on the social media in the wake of her former co-star's disappearance.

AceShowbiz - Lea Michele has closed her Twitter account after facing relentless trolling over her strained relationship with former "Glee" co-star Naya Rivera, who is currently missing and presumed dead.

The "Mayor" actress, who is currently pregnant with her first child, had come under fire from users on the social networking site users for not publicly speaking out about Naya's disappearance on California's Lake Piru.

The 33 year old went missing on Wednesday (08Jul20) after taking a boat ride on the lake with her four-year-old son Josey. While he was found on the boat more than three hours later, alone, Naya never made it back to the vessel, and the search for her remains ongoing.

On Saturday night, fans took to Twitter to comment on the fact that Lea had quit the platform, following years of reports of a feud between the pair, and after the "Scream Queens" star had made headlines for apparent bad behaviour on set from numerous co-stars.

Lea has yet to address her absence on the site publicly, or comment on Naya's disappearance.

For her part, Naya had denied she and Lea were ever locked in a feud, but did admit they had a difficult working relationship on the Glee set.

"We are both strong-willed and competitive - not just with each other but with everyone - and that's not a good mixture," she wrote in her 2016 memoir, "Sorry Not Sorry: Dreams, Mistakes and Growing Up". "As Santana moved from a background character to one with bigger plot lines and more screen time, I think Rachel - erm, I mean Lea - didn't like sharing the spotlight."

"If I'd complained about anyone or anything, she'd assumed I was b**ching about her. Soon, she started to ignore me, and eventually it got to the point where she didn't say a word to me for all of season 6."

However, their relationship appeared to have mended, and Naya was one of the first to congratulate Lea on her pregnancy announcement, writing, "Aww congrats! I love this. You're going to be a great mommy!"
