Speaking out about the tragic car accident that also took the life of his ex's unborn child, the partner of Kenneth Niedermeier claims that it was his way to prevent any untrue speculations.

AceShowbiz - Armando Rubio is taking steps to prevent gossips from tainting the memory of his ex-wife. Days after "90 Day Fiance: The Other Way" returned to TLC with its second season 2, the partner of Kenneth Niedermeier went into details about the tragic car accident that took the life of his daughter's mother and her unborn child.

Making use of Instagram Story on Sunday, June 14, Rubio began his series of posts by stressing that he made the move to "clear up any confusion" since he refused to "go into specifics" on the show's first episode. "My then wife and I had been separated for a few months before her passing for a number of reasons, one of which was anger issues she was working on," he went on explaining.

Recalling on what took place before the accident, Rubio dished, "…on the evening of her passing, a disagreement took place over finances, and I thought it would be best to leave the situation and return back to my home." He continued, "After that, 15-20 minutes later, I was driving down the highway, and I was shocked when I was suddenly struck from behind, and then was hit again."

When he realized that it was his ex who hit his car, it was too late. "Before I knew, it she lost control of her vehicle and passed away on the scene," he recounted. "As you can understand, this was a very tragic event in the life of my daughter and I as we lost her and an unborn baby. This was a very difficult moment for everyone involved, myself, our family, our friends."

Claiming that he went through "a long grieving process," Rubio then pleaded with others "for your empathy and understanding on this personal tragedy" by respecting his daughter's mother and her memory. He stressed that he chose to speak out "to prevent any speculations or untruths." He concluded his post by stating, "She was a wonderful mother and person."

Rubio and Niedermeier made their debut on the June 8 premiere of "The Other Way". The pair, who have 26 years of age difference, made history on the reality series' franchise by being its first-ever same-sex male couple. During the first episode, Rubio expressed his concern about having to move hours away from his family, who has been an integral part in his six-year-old daughter's life.
