Expressing his disappointment over not being honored at the award-giving event, which sees Drake leading the nominees with 6 nods, the 'Eternal Atake' star took to his Twitter account to rant.

AceShowbiz - The 2020 BET Awards announced its nominees on Monday, June 15. Drake led the pack with six nominations, while newcomers Megan Thee Stallion and Roddy Ricch picked up five apiece. Fans might expect to see Lil Uzi Vert among the list, but he scored zero nod, much to fans and the rapper's dismay.

Expressing his disappointment over not being honored at the award-giving event, the "Eternal Atake" star took to his Twitter account to rant. "Y'all see how they do ya boy," so he wrote cryptically.

In another post, the Philadelphia rapper went on to share his opinion on why he had no nominations at the BET Awards. "Its because I don't follow the Rules of HipHop. Its boring," Uzi, whose every single song from his "Eternal Atake" album and the deluxe charted on the Billboard Hot 100, tweeted.

Lil Uzi Vert appeared to be pissed off over 2020 BET Awards snub.

Fans echoed his sentiment as one commented, "UZI GOT ROBBED," alongside a screenshot of the nominees for Best Male Hip-Hop artist. Among those who are up for the category are DaBaby, Drake, Future, Lil Baby, Roddy Ricch and Travis Scott (II). "Uzi deserves to be there over all of these aritists smh. 2020 has been his year," another one added.

"They boolin uzi has the better first week album sales then all them," someone else wrote. Also being not happy with the nominees, another person said, "why are Drake DaBaby and Travis on that list lmao what have they done this year." Meanwhile, another comment read, "Travis Scott hasnt even released anything this year wtf Uzi dropped 2 albums with record breaking numbers there biased."

Another fan appeared to try to be positive. "Uzi doesn't need BET, he gonna win a Grammy," the optimistic fan said.

The 20th annual BET Awards is scheduled take place on 28 June. Organisers have confirmed the event will be going ahead, despite the restrictions linked to the COVID-19 pandemic, stating they will be using "an array of innovative techniques and artist-generated content."
