The 'Vanderpump Rules' star, who was called out by ex-castmate Faith Stowers, has been asking for prayers for her mother who is placed in the ICU due to serious complications from bladder surgery.

AceShowbiz - Brittany Cartwright is putting family first. The "Vanderpump Rules" star has been called out publicly by her ex-castmate Faith Stowers for using racial slur, but chose to focus her energy on mother Sherri Cartwright after the latter was placed in the ICU because of serious complications from bladder surgery.

Speaking on how the 31-year-old dealt with the drama around her, a source told Us Weekly, "This week has been a lot for her. However, her sole focus has shifted to her mom. That is undoubtedly her top priority and all she is concerned with focusing her energy on." The source added, "Her mom is her whole world and she's very worried."

The insider spilled that the reality TV star "is beyond overwhelmed" from "being hit at all angles." Still, the source noted she has "a strong support system by her side," crediting her husband Jax Taylor for being her rock. "He is unconditionally and wholeheartedly there for her, as are her closest friends," the source stated. "She knows she is loved and supported as she navigates through this really difficult time."

Brittany has earlier shared a photo of her mother on Instagram Story along with a message that read, "Please keep my beautiful mom in your prayers." In response to her post, her representative informed PEOPLE on Saturday, June 13, "Brittany's mother is currently in the ICU due to serious complications from bladder surgery."

"Brittany has been beside herself and asking for prayers," her rep went on sharing how the TV personality took the hospitalization news. "She is planning to go to Kentucky to be by her mother's bedside next week - it's been complicated having visitors at the hospital due to COVID-19 which has been very difficult for Brittany and her family."

Days earlier, Cartwright's family pastor Ryan Dotson shared news of Sherri's hospitalization via a Facebook post. "I would like to ask all my friends to please pray for my friend and church member Sherri Turner Cartwright. She had to have an emergency surgery after having a scheduled procedure that went bad. She's in ICU and things are uncertain, so please join us in prayer for Sherri and believe God for her full recovery," he wrote.

Sherri herself talked about plan of her bladder surgery in mid-March. At the time, she tweeted, "I'm having bladder surgery March 30 and off work for 8 weeks. So I'm flying to LA for recovery to stay with Jax & Brittany. Can't wait to see them and my Vanderpump moms. Please keep me in your prayers."

Sherri Cartwright's Twitter Post

Sherri Cartwright shared her bladder surgery plan back in March.

In regards to Faith's accusations against Brittany, the former SUR employee claimed that her former co-star made racist remarks against her when she tried to apologize for her affair with Jax. "So I'm trying to talk to her and I can still see that she's upset," she told AfterBuzz TV. "And while she's yelling, that's when I heard her say, 'You a nappy-headed ho!' "

During the interview, Faith also shared her thought on Brittany's deleted Instagram comment in which she claimed Faith "knows I don't have a racist bone in my body." To that, Faith responded, "I don't know why she denied saying that. That's her truth. But I know and my family knows ... that she definitely did say that."
