Gal Gadot's much-anticipated return as Diana Prince and her superhero alter ego is no longer set to hit theaters on August 14, whereas Russell Crowe's 'Unhinged' gets one week delay.

AceShowbiz - "Wonder Woman" has met her match in filmmaker Christopher Nolan.

Gal Gadot's much-anticipated return to the big screen in America, as Diana Prince and her superhero alter ego, has been delayed to October, following news that Nolan's "Tenet" will hit the big screen two weeks later than expected on 31 July.

"Wonder Woman 1984" was scheduled to debut on 14 August but film bosses fear "Tenet" will still be the blockbuster to beat two weeks after its release, and they've decided to move the sequel.

Movie experts expect "Tenet" to be the biggest film to hit cinemas following the U.S. COVID-19 shutdown.

Meanwhile, Russell Crowe's new film, "Unhinged", which was billed as this summer's big Independence Day holiday release in America, has also moved from 1 July to 10 July, and Angelina Jolie's "The One and Only Ivan" will no longer hit the big screen this summer, as planned.

Instead, the film will be released exclusively on the Disney+ streaming service.

Jolie produced the movie and voices one of the characters in the film, which will hit the small screen on 21 August.

Bryan Cranston, Helen Mirren and Chaka Khan also voice characters.
