The 'Dil Bechara' actor has passed away from an apparent suicide only days after former talent manager Disha Salian took her own life by jumping off a building.

AceShowbiz - Rising Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput has died in an apparent suicide.

The 34 year old was found dead at his home in Mumbai, India on Sunday, June 14, 2020.

Police are currently investigating Rajput's passing although reports indicate he had taken his own life, just days after his former talent manager, Disha Salian, also committed suicide.

Rajput kicked off his career on TV in 2008, starring in shows like "Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil" and "Pavitra Rishta", and made his movie debut in 2013's "Kai Po Che!".

He went on to feature in "Kedarnath", "Chhichhore", and "M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story", in which he portrayed former Indian cricket captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni, and had been preparing for the release of his most recent project, "Dil Bechara" - the Bollywood remake of "The Fault in Our Stars" - which had been postponed as theatres remained closed due to the coronavirus pandemic.

"Kai Po Che!" producer Ronnie Screwvala took to Twitter to pay tribute following the "really shattering news," remembering Rajput as "full of energy" and "always respectful of everyone around him" while Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar tweeted, "Honestly this news has left me shocked and speechless...I remember watching #SushantSinghRajput in Chhichhore and telling my friend Sajid, its producer how much I'd enjoyed the film and wish I'd been a part of it. Such a talented actor...may God give strength to his family (sic)."
