Issa Rae is adapting a fictional crime mystery featured on her HBO critically-lauded television series for a one-episode podcast show called 'Looking for LaToya'.

AceShowbiz - Actress and writer Issa Rae is tackling a fictional crime mystery in a new podcast special.
The star and her partners at Raedio have teamed up with HBO bosses and podcast producer Tenderfoot TV for "Looking for LaToya", a one-episode event based on the true crime series featured in Rae's hit show "Insecure".
In the podcast special, SZA will portray LaToya Thompson, whose disappearance is investigated throughout the show. The satirical special will also feature Ray J, Porsha Williams, and Kandi Burruss-Tucker.
The characters on "Insecure" often tune in to the fictional true crime series on the show, which was dreamed up by Rae and her co-writers as a commentary on the lack of TV coverage of missing black women.
