His interview on the 'Breakfast Club' sparks backlash from people including one of the Def Jam icon's accusers, Sil Lai Abrams, who previously blasted the show and accused them of being 'tone-deaf.'

AceShowbiz - Russell Simmons made an appearance on "The Breakfast Club" on Wednesday, June 10, much to everyone's dismay. In the episode of the radio show, Simmons claimed that he never treated others inappropriately.

"I could never say that someone doesn't feel victimized," the Def Jam icon said. "Thirty years ago... These stories are twenty-five to forty-years-old. I can't say someone doesn't feel victimized. I can tell you that I don't feel that I victimized them."

Detailing his remarks, Simmons, who also claimed that he wasn't a "monster" that people painted him out to be, explained, "And how can I say that? I took nine separate three-hour lie detector tests by two separate teachers. Polygraph. So I just want to share that. They're available to you. I just wanted to say that, and I don't know what else to say other than I feel terrible."

He also talked if he watched "On the Record" documentary that spotlighted his accusers. "I have not watched it, but I'm aware," Simmons shared. "I know what I'm guilty of. And I've been unconscious, as a playboy, and today the title is appropriate of womanizer. So I'm guilty of that."

His interview sparked backlash from people including one of Simmons' accusers, Sil Lai Abrams, who blasted the show and accused them of being "tone-deaf." She tweeted, "Why? Why do you carry water for this man? Why now? Why are you so tone deaf? You're all complicit in ensuring that Black women's right to bodily autonomy continues to be denied. You're also rape apologists."

She added in some other tweets on Wednesday, "Also @breakfastclubam, don't forget to include @deardrewdixon and @SheriSher_Bx on your invite to have me come on your show to discuss @OnTheRecordDoc. Thanks."

In response to writer Morgan Jenkins calling "The Breakfast Club" "the worst," Abrams shared, "@breakfastclubam has Russell Simmons on their show *as we speak* to kiki it up with a man credibly accused of rape & attempted sexual assault to promote his book. This is what we’re up against, folks. The abject silencing & erasure of his survivors and his history of violence."
