AceShowbiz - As a Republican supporter, Tomi Lahren is never afraid to share her controversial opinion on an issue and now she has landed in hot water for her comment on police brutality. Amid the Black Lives Matter movement and a campaign to cut police funding in the wake of George Floyd's death at the hands of a while police officer in Minneapolis, the Fox Nation host has several times weighed in on the systemic problem within the law enforcement forces.

Defending police, Tomi claimed on Monday, June 9 that cops are not to be blamed for police brutality, but their parents are. "We don't have a policing problem in the USA, we have a parenting problem," so she posted on her Twitter page.

Her tweet soon gained strong opposition from other users, including "a retired police officer with 40 years of experience" who acknowledged, "I see a policing problem." Mocking her as a product of failed parenting herself, someone replied, "I would consider myself a complete failure as a parent if I raised someone like you."

"It's brave of you to call out your parents here like this. I[m sure they tried their best, but you seem pretty hopeless, TBH," another similarly commented. Echoing the response, a fourth user tweeted, "I agree, you are the poster child for failed parenting."

"The parenting problem produced racist police officers and Tomi. And yes, there's a policing problem," another called her out. Disagreeing with the 27-year-old, someone else added, "So parents are the problem for hundreds of 1000s of lynched, murdered black people by police & LE for 400 years in a country built on slavery? You're an obvious product of privilege, abject ignorance & indoctrination. No one is born a racist. It's clear what you've been taught."

Another commenter questioned Tomi's credibility to weigh in on parenting issue, remarking, "Pretty bold words from someone who has never parented."

Tomi has previously shown her support for Lil Wayne, who defends police after he was saved by one of them in the past. Sharing a video of the rapper recalling the experience, she wrote, "Lil Wayne gets it. Too bad all the noise from the 'movement' just skips right over it. 99% of officers are not only good cops, they are good people who don't deserve this demonization. Yet, they will still do their jobs and protect us all."

She also drew backlash for this tweet, with one commenting, "That was some REAL S**T!" Another thought she missed the point, urging, "Girl, get the story straight , THEN tweet."

One person detailed what Tomi missed from Wayne's interview, "You missed the part where he said 'they all jumped over my body except one guy'. The guy he called Uncle Bob. You see Tomi, we expect every officer to be like uncle Bob and not jump over the body of a dying black kid. This is an indictment not a kudos for the police."

Someone else refuted her claim, "Nobody has ever said that cops never do good things, the problem is systemic. It's simplistic to generalize. I don't assume that all blonde women are unintelligent."
