Sophie also shares that everyone in the British royal family is welcoming and supportive for new family members, saying, 'We all try to help any new member of the family.'

AceShowbiz - Prince Harry's aunt Sophie discussed Meghan Markle's new life in the U.S. following Meghan and Harry's exit from British royal family. It appeared that the Countess of Wessex had no bad blood with the pair as she wished them well.

When asked about her opinion on the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who are now residing in Los Angeles, Sophie shared, "I just hope they will be happy." During the interview, the Countess of Wessex also talked about her own struggles to fit into to the royal family.

"It took me a while to find my feet," Sophie, who is married to Harry's uncle Prince Edward, said on Saturday, June 6. "Remember I'd had five years to adjust."

"And for our six-month engagement I was even staying in Buckingham Palace," she went on saying. "Not that you necessarily know how it will pan out."

Sophie also shared that everyone in the royal family was welcoming and supportive for new family members. As for Sophie, she was reportedly tapped to be a confidante to Meghan when the younger royals relocated to Frogmore Cottage in Windsor, which is just 10 miles from Sophie and Edward's home, Bagshot Park. "We all try to help any new member of the family," she said.

During the interview, Sophie also revealed if she and the other senior royals were asked to take on more public engagements and patronages after Harry and Meghan's exit. "We've all got our own little portfolios," she shared. "I don't see anything changing, but if we're asked to do more … I don't know because it hasn't really happened."

This arrives after a friend of Prince William's wife said that "Kate is furious about the larger workload." The source went on to claim, "Of course she's smiling and dressing appropriately but she doesn't want this. She feels exhausted and trapped. She's working as hard as a top CEO, who has to be wheeled out all the time, without the benefits of boundaries and plenty of holidays."
