During his show on Friday, Tucker Carlson suggested that the 'Old Town Road' hitmaker 'helped incite' riots 'instead to help small businesses destroyed' by the Black Lives Matter riots.

AceShowbiz - Lil Nas X has hit back at comments made by Fox News' Tucker Carlson suggesting he was "inciting riots" due to his support for the Black Lives Matter movement.

The "Old Town Road" hitmaker took to social media on Friday night (June 05) to defend himself after the TV commentator blamed the rapper and other celebrities for "fuelling" riots across the U.S. by donating to causes that help bail out citizens arrested during protests.

"this man just lied and told millions of people on national television that i was inciting riots," the star, real name Montero Lamar Hill, tweeted alongside a clip of Carlson's segment. "you can't make this up."

During his show on Friday, Carlson featured a scrolling list of celebrity names over footage of protests which had turned violent, suggesting the actors and musicians are "funding this chaos".

"Rapper Lil Nas X urged his 4.7 million Twitter followers to donate to bail groups in Chicago, New York, Philadelphia and elsewhere," Carlson said. "Imagine if he had used those followers instead to help small businesses destroyed by the riots he helped incite."

Actor Seth Rogen, who was also called out in the on-air clip, replied to Nas' tweet, writing, "F**k this pasty asshole." Singer Halsey also tweeted, "Ahh my fellow 'Domestic terrorists'. F**k Fox News."

The "Panini" star is among numerous celebrities supporting the Black Lives Matter movement, following the death of African-American man George Floyd at the hands of Minneapolis, Minnesota cops.
