After co-stars Robert Pattinson and Colin Farrell expressed their eagerness to get back to filming, the actor tapped to portray The Riddler claims they 'are just desperate to share' the superhero movie.

AceShowbiz - Actor Paul Dano is looking forward to getting back to the set of "The Batman", insisting film fans will be surprised by his portrayal of The Riddler.

Director Matt Reeves' blockbuster shut down production in March due to the coronavirus and cast members Robert Pattinson and Colin Farrell have expressed eagerness to get back to it.

Now Dano has opened up about his role as the prankster Batman villain, revealing he was "surprised" by Reeves' script, calling the filmmaker the "real deal".

"I feel really good about it," the "There Will Be Blood" star told The Playlist. "I think Matt Reeves is the real deal."

"I was really surprised by his script, which I think is potentially really powerful. Hopefully we'll get to get back to it sometime soon? I'm not sure."

"There's something fun there in my character and in all the characters. It's the kind of movie that we're just desperate to share on the big screen in a big way."

The Riddler was previously played by Jim Carrey in 1995's "Batman Forever", while Frank Gorshin portrayed the villain on TV.
