The 'I'll Be Missing You' singer has been charged for domestic violence after police was called to her house in Los Angeles following a heated argument with her spouse.

AceShowbiz - Faith Evans was reportedly arrested earlier this week. According to TMZ, the R&B singer was taken into police custody for allegedly attacking her husband Stevie J during an altercation.

Things seemingly got violent during a heated argument between the couple. There were visible marks and scratches on Stevie's face when law enforcement was called to their house in Los Angeles.

Faith was allegedly booked for felony domestic violence. The 46-year-old star was bailed out later that day.

It's unclear what prompted the couple's feud, but both kept silent on social media.

Faith Evans has been married to Stevie J, 48, for two years. They don't have any children together, but Faith has four kids from previous relationships and Stevie has six.

Rumors of their marriage trouble emerged last year when they were caught unfollowing each other on social media. He added fuel by posting a string of cryptic messages, "Drunk people always speak their truth," "Ones insecurities can damage them," "All that glitters ain't gold," and "Cherish what you love just know nothing will last forever."

Several months later, another series of angry messages were posted on Stevie's Twitter. "Trust no b***h," they read. "12 days of Xmas I sent her 5k a day. Wanna show the world what being a stand up guy will get you. Found of that NO woman is faithful. Knew that & it's a blessing to know."

He later claimed his account was hacked. "My twitter & IG was hacked last night while I was on the plane," he told his online followers. "My wife is the love of my life & my best friend. Whoever hacked me, you not only hurt me but my entire family."

The couple reportedly swapped vows in 2018 in a Las Vegas hotel room for a hurried ceremony. Their hush hush wedding was not without drama. Back then, his ex Misha Perry called him out for allegedly abandoning her while she was pregnant with his child.

She wrote on Instagram back then, "Lol I hope this time it's a real marriage and since you getting married I hope Faith can help you on some of those child support debts because YOUR (our) child will be here in October …" She also told Faith, "Biggie [Faith's late ex] is turnin' over in his grave you should be ashamed of yourself."

Misha was not the only one skeptical about Stevie's capability to be in a monogamous relationship. Another of his ex Joseline Hernandez said he was still trying to hook up with her despite their breakup, "So sweet of my baby daddy and his wife! Someone tell her to keep an eye on him when he calls me to see my b*** h*** in the am."
